Welcome to Costa Tropical! Enrolling your children in a Spanish school as an international family is a straightforward and welcoming process when armed with the right documentation. The procedure focuses on establishing local residency and formalising prior educational records.

ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTATION

  • Identification: Valid passport or national ID for the student and parents. NIE certificate if available (passports suffice to initiate registration).
  • Town Hall Registration (Empadronamiento): Crucial certificate confirming municipal residency and designating your school catchment zone.
  • Birth Certificate or Family Book (Libro de Familia): Certified translation if not in Spanish.
  • Vaccination Record & Medical Certificate: Verifying routine pediatric inoculations and general health.
  • Passport-sized Photographs: 2 to 3 recent photos.

ACADEMIC HOMOLOGATION BY AGE GROUP

Primary Education (Up to age 12):

No formal homologation required. Translated school reports place the child directly in the grade matching their birth year.

Secondary Education & Baccalaureate (Ages 12+):

Requires an application for homologation with the Spanish Ministry of Education. While pending, students enroll conditionally without delay via a provisional registration slip (Volante de Inscripción Condicional).
